My tuscan has been in for a service at powers. They tell me it needs the diff bushes doing. Has anybody replaced there own bushes,or is it a pig of a job

Diffs are bloody heavy and awkward = A pig of a job to do.
Would not want to do the job without a ramp/lift.

Notoriously difficult and hard work job (particularly the top bush). Pay someone else to do it.

Well, I can't comment on a Tuscan but just done diff bushes on a pre cat Griff it's not a nice job but can be done at home with a decent tool kit workshop fitting poly bushes makes the job easier. The joys of Tvr ownership repairing is part of the fun? I might change my mind removing manifolds ready for Clive ford's upgrade let the fun begin

Horrible job to get the originals out. Access is not good and the design of the chassis makes getting an extractor on nearly impossible. Mine was a real fight I tried everything. In the end I hole sawed the centre out, then cut the sleeve being carful of the chassis then beat out the weakened sleeve.

I'd take a clutch change over a bush change any day

Slightly relieved to see the OP lives a fair way away from our workshop.
Not a shirker ...but.
