There are quite a few TVRs compewting in the Midland Speed Championship (in the midlands) and the ACSMC Speed Championship (in the south). Although we do go to the occasional hillclimb, most Tivvers prefer sprints because they are much safer than hillclimbs. (Have you tried Shelsley Walsh in the rain?!)
The TVR Car Club also runs its own speed championship which has fourteen rounds based on the MSC and ACSMC championships - typically we have half a dozen to a dozen TVRs at these events. If you're interested I'll dig out the dates for you.

A keen follower of speed hillclimb events, I have been to three meetings this season, Gurston Down, Shelsley Walsh and Prescott. All exciting meetings, but where were the TVRs? All meetings have classes for production cars of varying engine capacities and the over 2000cc class invariably includes Morgan +8s, Porches, Cobras etc. I would have thought that the torque characteristics of TVRs would be well suited to hillclimb events. Am I just visiting the wrong locations or do TVRs generally not perform well in the hillclimb arena. Any comments?

A well set-up Mini will always beat a TVR on hillclimbs. I own a Cerbera by the way
