The windscreen wipers on my Chim' have developed a mind of their own...
This morning I flicked the wiper stalk for one sweep of the screen, and 15 minutes later they were still going!
The intermittent setting doesn't work any better; although sometimes everything works fine
I thought it may be the park switch. But, when they work, the wipers stop in the correct position
(Also my park switch was, allegedly, replaced by the garage recently)

Any ideas folks?

Hi John

Could be a faulty switch, dodgy earth or relay. Try swapping the relay round for one of the other ones in the fuseboard, check all the earths are clean and tight if that doesn't sort it then good chance its the switch.

If the park switch has got a problem it can do all sorts of funny stuff so don't rule it out just yet.

Thanks guys
I do have a new park switch, but I will check all the other stuff as well
The wipers aren't great at the best of times, but it worries me when they're struggling
on a dry screen
I want to give the whole wash/wipe system a refurb, so I'm hoping for some nice weather...

Fitted the new park switch; wipers working properly again
Took the opportunity to take the motor apart (bit of a faff) and grease the moving bits
Started to pee down before I had a chance sort the washer pipework
