There will probably be a few more soon, with the number of people getting cold feet over track days, because of the recent question marks over third party liability.

Very sad news. I fear the "noise police greens" will be after all of us in the not to distant future.

We just need to be prepared for them. with the Cerbera at 120db I'll try this tactic biggrin

Sadly, that PH "News" article does not reflect what's actually been going on. rolleyes
Did nobody at PH bother to research this story?

Not really to do with noise, but more about land-grabbing and greed. The "NIMBY" accusations provide a good smokescreen though.

To be fair I don't think Mallory did themselves any favours. I went testing there last year with a race car & we had Supertrapps ready to bolt on the car thinking we'd struggle to get through the noise test. Then opposite us a D-Type was warming up on open pipes we went and spoke with him and he said oh nobody gives a censored don't worry about it. With that a couple of Lola T70s, a McLaren CanAm car & the 888 BTCC team went out on track all running open pipes. That test day was effectively an unlimited noise test day then. Don't get me wrong we all loved it, it was great but when you have whinging tree hugging locals I think (loathed to say this) they should have been stricter on noise testing. I love noise more than most people but if it threatens a circuits existence then I'd rather see quiet "ish" cars racing than none at all.
I hope they can sort something out and keep it going !

A lot of circuits do noisy test days. Every time I've been there either testing or racing. They have been very stringent I've found.

But I guess if it was a restricted day and they didn't stick to it then like Blackpool says they've only etc, etc. it's all about consistency.

I was chatting to one of the Directors of Mallory and I mentioned your comment and he apologies for not informing you directly and said he would fly home from his holiday in the States and visit you personally to update you to the current situation.

This one was advertised as a 95db test from memory. I can't think of anyone who was under 120db ish that day.
