I remember the last Tvr they did (an S2 I believe). On Eds inspection he said all the brakes were fine and needed no work. then when doing the knackered ball joints I noticed brand new discs and calipers.
They were never added to the cost, so profit would have been -??

I saw that, and they never mentioned the chassis once...

I believe some one picked them upon this at a car show or whatever and they claimed they came with the car but had not been fitted by the seller.

Surely that show is 100% "kosher" they don't cheat or fiddle do they? wink

I think they mention in the buying process the car had had a new chassis

I missed that bit! I'd like to see them do a Chim. Perhaps they can borrow mine, let Ed give it a complete overhaul and then I'll pretend to buy it off them at the end! Sounds great programming to me. wink

Their answer to this is it's supposed to be a programme about a home mechanic hence why there is never any labour taken into account.

Last I heard, the chassis was still unattached from the body, with quite a distinctive moniker from the repairing garage on the front upper cross member, so not sure how they're gonna have enough time to get it all back together for this series and sell it.

Its a good series but you can't take it too seriously as they obviously cheat a bit to make the program work, and to make sure all episodes are the same length I guess - or the TVR one would be very long! Edd is good to watch though, watching a mechanic work is a great way to brush up on mechanics in general and I've picked up at least a couple of useful tips from the program over time! Will definitely be interesting to see what they do with the Cerbie as it has quite a few bespoke parts and plenty of electronic boxes to break!

What's the bet that Dom has got his face in there when Mike goes to buy a load of parts from TVR Power? lol

At least they are generally positive about the cars and in touch with the 'normal' enthusiast, unlike those clowns at TG.
