Speed related chirping/squealing

I have had the car sorn for several months and have just taken it for a good run after having decats fitted, sounds amazing with the blue flame cans rather than the CCC's.

I am however getting a speed related squealing which stops when I apply the brakes. My initial thought is either a displaced pad or a warped wheel. Any thoughts before I take it to a garage?

When was the last time your rear pads were changed? I only ask as I had much the same problem last year.

Likely a siezed/sticky rear brake caliper.

They haven't been changed in the 3 years that I've had the car. Looks like that's what may be needed. Thanks Don.

Ok, mechanic came this morning to listen to the noise but sods law nothing. I then took it for a run and once warmed up, back came the noise.

How do I unstick it, does it just need the pads removing, a clean up and some anti seize compound and copper grease applying?

Can't be much help I'm afraid. However, I've heard it said that if parking up for extended periods it's better not to leave the handbrake on - better to chock the wheels.

The handbrake was left off. I think it is the rear caliper pistons but am not sure how to unstick them!
