Can anyone recommend a TVR frendly hotel that has good parking and is with in say 10-15 miles of Chatsworth house? We are not looking for anything to fancy but not travelodge spec. We will be coming down from Scotland so want to make a bit of a weekend out of it. The main thing being good parking where the car will be safe over night.

Not my hotel of 1st choice, but more than adequate and a lot of people are staying there.

...assuming they still have spaces of course smile

I would recommend fischers hotel in baslow. To be honest the hotels often aren't great in the nicer bits of the peak in my experience. You have to go to the towns and use a chain hotel. I would avoid most of the towns close to chatsworth. Bakewell is nice enough but it's hotels are not great afaik.
Sheffield has all the usual chains, near to eclesall rd is good.
The other one I would recommend is hassop hall.

We stayed in The Casa in Chesterfield last year. Quite new with a big car park and usually discounted on LateRooms.

Chesvegas is ok if you only want a bed - if you want to go out for a meal or a wander then you are better off elsewhere.

Yep, bed and a really big breakfast were the key requirements for me!

Plenty of good B&B's in the villages in the Peaks.

OK here are some other places I would try:-
Chequers Inn, Froggatt.
Cavendish, Baslow.

A friend of mine owns this place....
