Chimaera/Griffith Brake Bias Proportioning Valve
Discussion
It's really a techie post but it'll apply to models in more than one forum so I thought I'd post it here. I'm after a new proportioning valve for a '97 Chim (the one at the back feeding the T-piece in the brake lines, above the diff) and have identified it as a Mondeo item (the original was a mk1 Mondeo part, which has since been superceeded by a mk2 item).
Only issue is that on a Mondy there are two types of these things; a primary and a secondary. They appear to look the same so I'm guessing there is a pressure relief difference inside? I've cleaned the old unit up to look for a part number, which was on there but the important bit of it has pitted badly and isn't readable.
Obviously I don't want to fit the wrong one, can anyone shed some light?
