I was on my way to Brighton this sunny afternoon..first time I've driven the Tuscan in several months with the winter layover..minding my own business, when a lovely 997 4S decides to move up behind me and flash his lights..two thoughts ran through my mind at that point, should I simply move over and let him pass, in three years of enjoyable ownership I've never quite had the opportunity to drop a gear and put the pedal to the metal..well bloody hell...porker didn't stand a chance, it did not even get a sniff..thought i'd be a gentleman and let it catch up and move over..I stuck to him like a fly on sh@t..
On my way back home..a nice Bentley decides to thrash it from the lights, thinking I couldn't catch up..he too was very suprised..
Now having a cup of tea and still can't wipe the grin off my face...with moments like these I could never bring myself to sell...
Just thought I'd share..

It's a long time ago for me, but I remember the first few months of ownership where those opportunities came along from time to time.
It is amazing how many cars that you always though were truly fast, pale next to a healthy TVR.
I actually went back to the dealer after the first few weeks to ask them "what did you do to this car? surely this isn't 'normal'?""
only to be reassured that they had done nothing, and it was normal.
Those other guys bought the dream, you are driving the reality; purely magical isn't it?

Friday afternoon was bright and sunny here so I used the Chimp to go and get my weekend DIY bits from the local shed and have a bit of a blast into the bargain. When I parked up outside the DIY shed a guy came over and asked me about the car. I told him a bit about it and he told me how 'impractical' it was. Hardly the point really ...
Anyway when I came staggering out with a very large roll of loft insulation and some other stuff he was still there and laughed out loud "How are you going to get that lot home then?"
I popped the boot on the Chimp, dropped it all in and watched his jaw drop.
Brilliant!
