I think the Cerbera shape suits yellow and more so with the anthracite wheels.
The car might be a good one but IF this is your maximum budget , have you kept any money aside for unforseen expenses. An engine rebuild will set you back £6,000 if it hasn't had one. It might not need one but at 37k miles it might need one that is the risk you take with any Cerbera. Check to see if it has had any recent engine work, rebuilds after 2005 seem to be doing high millage and have proven to be very reliable.

rebuilds at 37k! thought i might get 50-60 before that was neededUnless the yellow one comes with a decent warranty this one might be a better option

Advert states it has had the top engine upgrades done and comes with a complete history file.

Was talking to a chap who had a TVR Power Rebuild & was on his 50,000th reliable mile.(90,000 odd miles total!!) The original engines would go bang very early due to poor quality assembly/design/crap components etc. Don't go near a Speed 6 unless, 1. you can budget a rebuld, or 2. It's had a recent rebuild with remaining balance of warranty.
I test drove that very car when it was up for 17k in sept/oct last year.
The price has been dropping, I think I saw it for 14k just before Christmas.
It had plenty of service history but For 17k it was tatty, lots of paint work that hadn't been done well. I didn't like the drive the gear box seemed a bit crunchy and in general it wasn't as good as some I'd driven, at the time one of the partners was driving it daily to and from work and when I questioned him his warm up procedure was to start up and get to work as fast as possible, speed 6's really need to be warmed up before pushing the warp peddle to the floor!
I didnt check the chassis as my mind was made after driving it.
If this is the top end of your budget I'd leave well alone unless you can deal at late 9 to early 10k, that's where I see this particular Cerb, my findings are based on the fact that there seems to be Cerbs coming on the market on a regular basis take your time try to buy below budget and leave some money to cover any work it may require or you may wish to do to bring it up to the standard you desire.
FYI I bought a very clean and tidy 2000 speed 6 in Oct and I've since spent 4k getting it how I want it to be, be warned the day to day running costs of this marque is not cheap no matter what you're told to keep them pristine isn't cheap.
Happy hunting.

Not entirely true. If you get a later engine (2005 onwards), you are a lot less likely to have these problems. Targarama said:
Go for a V8, but test both to be sure. Remember, these cars cost money to run, try and run one on a tiny budget at your peril.
V8s have required rebuilds as well......but if you want to avoid HUGE rebuild costs get one with a recent rebuild by a proven builder like TVR Power/ Str8six/ Racing Green but you will be unlikley to get one around the OP budget as they tend to command a premium and rightly so.DrMoriarty said:

However i'm not sure i'm in that financial place in my life to have one. i would have 2k to maintain it per year. But some costs people are talking about are very high. It would cover about 10,000 miles a year if i got one. Starting to see 2k a year maintenance costs is not enough.

My 4.5 almost always costs at least a grand for a service & extra things can add up. Over 6 years it's been roughly 2 grand a year ish averaged out although I reckon I only do 5k miles at the most & usually a bit less. Of course the average is the catch - one year I needed a 150 quid part, the next year I had to get the engine stripped! However, we all know you don't buy these cars with your head. A test drive has usually made me rearrange my finances
