The Final Touch to the One and Only Sagaris RT
Discussion
I admit it...when it comes to my motors, I am a bit of an obsessive.
The Road Track car, when originally built had it's very own boot badge (Sagaris RT)...this disappeared in the mists of time, but fortunately, I had a photo.
Those very nice people at Multipart (thanks Jeff), have now remanufactured the item for me,and the badge is going back on the car this week.....
Given that it became a 'development mule' for TVR, it is an 'original everything car' including....Sparko Seats, Fire Extinguisher, Scorpion Exhausts, Compomotive wheels, Datalogger, and even the Tax Disc holder.
Originality is key. This little piece of British motoring history now has the finishing touch.
Looking forward to 2012 and meeting up with everyone!!

That's it I think Ian......unless, of course I discover an old photo of the car with something else on it.......ie the car originally had a 'normal' Speed 6 engine...TVR then fitted a low compression ('export spec') unit....was it ever supercharged as a development mule?
.....does anyone know?
Here's an old photo of the car in the garage at the TVR factory....
And another....

You can see from the latter photo that the car had white roundels (zpelling?) on the doors....before TVR logo'd it up with TVR decals for the Terry Grant world record...should I pop the roundels back on the car...views everyone?

Thanks Eric. There is quite a little story about the wheels. When I first saw the car....it was being sold by TVR via Racing Green, and was on matt black spiders.
Researching the car, I saw that it had originally been built with Compomotive wheels, so Chas (then of Racing Green, now of STR8Six) kindly phoned Ben at TVR and enquired after the Compomotives..... Ben said 'we still have them...do you want them'....
.....and the rest is history as they say!!

.....and the rest is history as they say!!Here is the RT just having been built....note the 'T350' front end...no recess for number plate as on the production Sagaris. It has a Vynalester (zpelling) body....

Having been built on the 18th Nov 2004, by Jan 2005, it looked like this......
Note position of fuel filler......not on the top of the wing as in the production car, also short wing mirror arms.....and yes...on spiders...I have these also as a matter of fact...
