'Heard' and sort of spotted.

I was in Great Ayton, North Yorkshire last Sunday and from the opposite side of the river I heard a TVR going into the Buck car park. Just to say spotted the roof (Purple), so I couldn't work out exactly what it was, but I'd hazard a guess at a Cerb judging by the engine sound.
Anyone local to this area.
Then on Sunday afternoon my mate was at the fire engine rally (hmmm?)at Preston Park in Stockton. Amongst the gathered vehicles were several wedges. He didn't look at them closely.
I would have liked to have seen them as I am after a wedge (with V8) and never see any locally.
BTW, this is my first post although I've been lurking for almost 6 months now, gathering bits of info about the potential purchase.
