Bought my reg plate last year (awaiting a nice tvr to put it on!) but still i scan the reg plate web sites when bored (sad i know), as a kind spirited 'new' pistonheader i saw this plate T11R SG which could read TVR S6 with a little dabbling for £240 + 80 dot fee I'd buy it myself but the other half wont let me!

Even with 'dabbling', I would have thought it would have looked more like TUR SG ?

Sorry mate, my point was more aound the '11' looking more like a 'U' than a 'V'.

Its a shame because TVR SG would have been a great plate for my initials !

£320... not worth it. It'll still NOT say TVR... and it'll make you look tight. (IMHO)

We discuss plates quite frequently on here and the concensus seems to be, cheap plates that don't say what they are meant to are ususally on max'ed up Astras etc. so if you need to explain what it says or add rediculous strategically positoned screws, don't bother. Rich...

Go for the plate. Standard plates look crap and nasty. A personal plate sets a car off.

Don't take it personally - I'm sure it's preferable to having your topic completely ignored! The only way to get over it is to do lots more postings, and then you start to build up an immunity.

P.S. Apparently you can get reg. plates that actually say TVR on them!
