Is it possible to tell who drives what car without knowing anything about the driver? Some people read tea-leaves or crystal balls, but at Confused.com we reckon we could read car makes and models based on our knowledge and fuelled by our passion for driving.
We’re not psychic, but our customer experience indicates who is more likely to drive which sort of vehicle. Take a look at our findings to see if your car is popular with similar drivers, or will you discover that you buck the trend when you’re behind the wheel?
Iconic Austin Minis are more likely to be driven by a student, but under 25s (who are not students) are more likely to choose a Ford Fiesta Zetec.
Meanwhile, a sporty BMW Z4 is more likely than average to belong to 25-39 year olds who don’t have any kids yet and the Renault Grand is more likely to belong to young families; probably because it offers plenty of space for both the family and their luggage.
Among male drivers the racy Caterham Seven and Porsche 928 are significantly more likely to belong to a male driver while the VW Beetle Solar Cabriolet and Fiat 500 Pop Cabriolet are both most likely to be driven by a woman.

Your gender, age and marital status can all affect your car insurance quote as well as which sort of car you choose, although it won’t be long before gender rules change and women will no longer see cheaper quotes than their male counterparts.”

I think thats what skews the stat even more.. Just say there was only one 928 ever produced and it was owned by a bloke.. Therefore statistiacally a Porsche 928 would be more likely to be owned by a man than a woman! ks anyway . Porsche 928 ?
