So what do you love and hate about your TVR?
Discussion
My mate was giving me the third degree about why I loved my TVR so much and we had a boozy discussion on the best and worst bit of our cars. The best thing for me was the "grin Factor" and that i really didnt have a down side to Tvr ownership. He was typical of so many who had a mate that blah blah blah you have all heard them running tvrs down with no real basis.
What are your best and worst bits?

I was talking to a friend just yesterday saying how 99% of the time the car is just so wrong, ie, it gets hot in traffic, over cools on motorways, doesn't like camber of country roads etc etc...
But you live for that 1% where you get the perfect road and nothing else can touch it this side of a Lambo!
Its funny how sometimes you can't imagine living without it, and others you just want to set it alight!!!!!

Love the performance, the noise, the looks, the unique interior, the fact it was built from scratch with British hands.
Hate the fact it can't do simple things we take for granted in cars, eg warm the cabin with the heaters, clear the windscreen, hold the car on a hill with the handbrake, cope with traffic, cope with salt, leaves, heat, frost, rain, wind, camber, bumps...
The highs are so extreme that they offset the lows, and that's all that matters.

Love the looks, noise, the fact a small company in Blackpool can make such a bespoke interior into such a nice place to be, the speed, the attention, the exclusivity, the camaraderie.
Hate - filling with fuel, warming up, the fact I can't just get in relax and drive (I want a Jag or similar to run alongside), servicing costs.

Hopefully the new engine will address some of these, but for the Chim 500 I'd say:
Love - steering feedback (15" wheels and unasssisted rack!), boot space for a sports car, cruising ability, looks, noise, indefinable character that makes every journey feel like an event
Mildly dislike - power delivery on the standard 500 feels a bit lazy (could do with a snappier response and a bit more top end zing to complement the low down torque), brakes could be a bit more powerful, thirst, cost of TVR-specific parts

OP - My previous thread might answer half of your question!

Love the noise and the individualism.
Love the shape and the acceleration and the noise.
I cant hate it any more than I could hate my Wife.
Broke down in France this year (ECU) and had to leave her in a little village.
Didnt hate her, just worried that she would get home safe.
Closest to hate for me is the way they get under your skin like a drug.
Wondering why I just bought a second one and how I am going to afford to maintain both or all three if I include the Wife.

Love the way it makes driving to somewhere better than being there, just theatre on wheels.

Love the smell, starting it, accelerating, getting out of junctions easily because other drivers are distracted by her, changing down a gear, and everthing else that goes with the joys of ownership
Hates, my only dislikes are drivers driving too close behind or who come bombing along the motorway in another lane to me, faster than me, and then pulling in behind me and braking hard, nutters...

Do hate it when you get left at the lights by a car you know you could out drag, just because the oil temperature is reading 30 degrees
