TVR Salvage Prices ..?
Discussion
Earlier today I watched as a 2004 T350T sold through Copart for £10700 hammer price £12002 including premium. Same car later appeared on sale for £13450,don`t get me wrong I`ve no problem with a guy making a profit,it`s hard enough out there for any business these days, best of luck.
Earlier in the week, what appeared to be a nicely finished 2004 Cat C T350C with a later 4.0 Sagaris engine fitted plus a whole load of bills, closed bidding at £13500, drive away !!
Add time, parts, paint and whatever else raises its head I can`t make the figures add up . Am I missing something along the road or has salvaging a car become a completely altruistic endeavour ??

Have you seen what classic barn finds are making these days?
Soon it will be well worth un-restoring cars.
Step 1: Buy a nicely restored Aston DB5 for £105k
Step 2: Make up a story to give it some charm
Step 3: Scotchbrite the paint
Step 4: Throw some straw over it
Step 5: Pop it in an auction
Step 6: Sit back & watch it make £125k
It's a mad world for sure.

the car that you are compare the price on is not a targa and was not in very good condition at all its paint was rough the trim was rough, if steve had spent a little more time on it he could have got 16/7k but he wanted a quick and at that price he got one it sold in less than a week
but the t350t was about 2k over what it should have sold for , but its a very clean car and it will all go again not parts required ,so if your good with glass would be a very very easy job compared to the next one coming up on with no front on it that will do 8/9k and only half the cars needs paint at 800 so turns out there is a good saving on the book price of 22/24k
