Here's one for you RV8 boys I was having a smooze on U Tube then found footage of Nick Manns Morris Minor 3.5 RV8 with twin turbo's at 55 sec and 2min 50sec if I remember correctly he did a 10 second quarter not bad for a car that was made for hill climbing my brother-in-law often came up against this in his sit up & beg Red oxide primed Ford Pop at the time,just goes to show that even then the bent 8 Rover could cut the mustard thumbup by heck takes me back whistle I was just 18 frown

The king of the hills or the old man of the hills IIRC.
Sub 7 to 100.
I saw the minor run at York in the 80's and was amazed how it effortlessly and rather quietly whizzed away from big blocked hotrods etc.

That was John Meredith who was competing around the same time as Nick. Last time I saw John he had 'retired' to Truro to run a filling station, but he was still playing on the hills with a Sapphire Cosworth. He too was a very capable engineer and driver.
