Seeing as a lot of you here have lots touring experience I thought I'd ask in here first as I think the answers will be more accurate.....unless Fubar or SXS joins the conversation. hehe

I'm Looking to do a small tour of Italy and take in some view of Lake Garda etc. I'm still living in the Middle East so its not as straight forward as going down the high street and booking a holiday. Nothing is ever that easy here. Nor am I happy to trust websites taking my money that I've never heard of.

Basically I'm going to fly into Italy (which ever airport suits whatever is decided in the end) to start the tour in April time next year. So.... I'll be needing car hire, something nice and dare I say it a Fezza does pop in to mind. Should I? getmecoat but anything decent or even a classic.

So I'm looking for suggestions as to where to start. Does anyone know of any companies that hire cars and any advice on hotels and the like would be greatly appreciated.

Ron,

Don't know any Ferrari hiring companies...other than these shared ownership outfits and/or UK based weekend hire companies.

I'd suggest looking at the Classic & Sports car website/magazine. IIRC I recall seeing a company in France, maybe Italy that hires classic Alfas. Maybe a mag' like Octane or Motor might have some adverts for (modern)Fezza hire companies?

Ron,

It might be worth emailing 'Harsh' on P/H. Harsh runs a company called Petrolhead Nirvana (www.petrolheadnirvana.com) that specialises in driving tours- some of which are Europe based. He might be able to give you a few pointers around hotels, driving routes etc particularly if he has organised a previous tour in the area you want to visit.
