Automedon again

I know this question was asked a while ago, but is this company still trading? I only ask as I have been trying to contact them for a while with no response. I am new to the TVR world, and am hoiping to buy a Cerbera some time soon, and someone told me that the people at Automedon used to build Cerberas when the factory was open, so I thought I would ask their advice. I checked out there website, put their postcode in to my sat nav, and set off to see them. When I got there, a man in another unit across the road from theirs said they had "done a runner" a couple of months ago, and their unit was all shut up. Does anyone know what's happened to them?
While I was in the area I thought I would go and visist the TVR factory. I was very glad that I did, and it was great to see so many small businesses being run in the factory by the people who used to build these cars. I asked some of the people there about Automedon, but all I got was a shrugging of shoulders, and nobody seemed to know what was going on. A great day out though.

You will be far better off speaking with Track V Road at Clitheroe, their telephone number is 0845 0945350. Speak to either Craig or Richard. They always have quality TVRs in stock and are the North Wests premier dealer and service organisation. Their kettle is always on and they will talk to you about cerbs all day long.

Look up NIGHTFLIGHT on this site, aka Mark Atherton. This guy is one of the guys that started Automedon but bailed out early doors? He could inform you of early history of this company and maybe point you in the right direction as to the company to date.
Thanks John!!! Probably best if I say "no comment". I have had many people ask me over the years what happened, either directly or via pistonheads, and have always given the facts. However, I don't think it would be appropriate to say anything on a public forum. So like I said, "no comment".just for the record i was doing my homework on this company this weekend, i was talking with a guy who has his car with them at the moment, aka the farmer on here, who is having paint, machanical and full interior with these guys, it would appear that they have moved to bigger premises in the lancs area, they didnt do a runner, there contract was up for renewal and they decided they needed to expand the business so found better work facilities, i was told that they have a lot of TVRs around them and continue to do all things TVR but have also branched out into the classic car market, this idea was always on the back burner but is now up and running, colin jones is at the moment fully restoring a sunbeam alpine while david smart is rebuilding an orange sagaris, there trim shop is struggling with demand but extra staff (ex TVR) have been working into the small hours to get through the backlog so all in all it would appear that this is one TVR independant thats doing ok, there is work always coming in so somebody somewhere must be able to contact them

I know cars that have sat there for over a year waiting to be fixed.Your miss informed about needing to expand the buisness. sadly.

Don't forget about X-Works at Kirkham - that's where I take my Tamora, Heath and Paul are excellent.
However, I must admit that we are spoilt here in the north west with having both X-Works and Track v Road available.

Yes, we are spoilt for choice in this area. X works are excellent, they look after my Griffith, I've used Track V Road when I had an Exige S, and will be going to them again with my Caterham 7.Don't forget about X-Works at Kirkham - that's where I take my Tamora, Heath and Paul are excellent.
However, I must admit that we are spoilt here in the north west with having both X-Works and Track v Road available.
Only one place to avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!
