Removing Tar

Manged to drive through some wet tar and get splash marks all down both sides. Real thick st unfortunately. Any tips on getting it off?

tar remover...autoglm do one. Bit of a bugger though when that happens...not like you can just stop...and not easy to get off

Not tried WD40.
But I can vouch for panel wipe solvent. Everyone should have a can in their garage, also about the only thing that will remove waxoil if you’re ever doing any chassis repair/maintenance.

White spirit, cheap and cuts through tar easily.

This stuff works very well, smells nice and is a lot friendlier than petrol

Get a clay bar, it can be used for the rest of the car too then.

Be careful with petrol. It can turn a white car yellow.

But remember the LSP (wax) you did have has also been taken off with the above treatments and will need re-applying.
