Trackday footage from Donnington RSOC 18th Sept

Had a great day, very lucky with the weather, some real funny Ford conversions, check out the Transit Connect Turbo thingy going round!
Cossy Capri was quite rapid too!

Got black flagged in the end for noise, 2nd time of the day, tried keeping to the right of pit wall and short shifting, which worked most of the time!

Is that the cossie Capri that belongs to one of the instructors? If so I'm happily surprised that's still running. It's been quite a few years since that was built.

Cheers!The noise from those ITB's is groovy isnt it? i wasnt revving it as hard as it will go, thanks to the oil temp high/pressure getting low, its getting an oil cooler made before it goes on track again, a few bits being renewed and improved over the winter period.

Well...not one to brag..but not one car came past all day, that EVO that i mention had a good go, but we got black flagged after around 3 laps!! Chatting with the EVO guy after our duel, he has ran 9.9/151mph

What sort of power? I bet its not vastly more.
Shows what extra grip can do at the strip. I would be interested to see his 60 foot etc.

He reckoned 700+bhp on full boost, but understandably you cant run that on extended track use, so he reckoned he was 550-600 on his trackday boost setting, it was the grip out the corners he pulled, 4wd and slicks all round, once we got straight mine grunted away, i think he was a bit shocked how much grunt it had!
I had lots of understeer, as i can only carry two track rims in the car, so was slick rear (freebies!) and 888's on the front.
