My day started off with a
Climbed in the car at 6.30am to meet Dean to be greeted with a floppy pedal/no clutch 
Thought I'd run it round the block before phoning Dean to cancel. Changing gears by matching the revs. After a couple of miles and many pumps of the clutch pedal I suddenly had a stiff one again (fnaar fnaar) so decided to carry on and meet Dean and just 'go for it'. In for a penny etc, I mean, what's the worst that can happen? (havent made a claim on my AA warranty for years 
)
Clutch was 'mostly' fine all day. Go figure
I'll send it in to my indi to check it out anyway.
Couldn't match last year's times, best being a 13.1s.
Last run of the day was after a downpour. Knowing I wasn't going to go any faster thought I'd put on a launch display for the crowd...lots of wheel spin through the gears
. To be fair, I wasn't the only one doing it
Be back next year. Anyone else care to join us? It is a real fun day

Hi Derek, I will put all the details up when they go on Brighton and Hove MC site, as I forgot to take a note of them! Unless anyone else has them then feel free to put them up.
My other run was a 12.8, the 12.4 run I had a lot of wheel spin in 1st and 2nd, plus hitting the limiter in both gears, so I thought I would Granny it off the line then nail it, changing gears before the limiter, it felt quicker but no cigar!

Yeah, sorry about that Steve. I've just popped down to Tescos and bought 2 Scotch eggs (to be quartered). I'll leave them on the side ready for next September atb

64ft 2.38 time 13.05 terminal 113mph.
Very pleased with that, on ancient Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres too!
To give an indication of pace, as the BST's are very slippy/ bumpy due to the coastal location and normal road, we were 0.04 seconds shy of a Mercedes SLS and Dean was quicker than a Ferrari 599GTB. All the modern TVR's managed to beat a Ferrari F430 F1 by a fair margin too, which is always a good yard-stick of 'fecking fast!'
Apologies to anyone who I barely spoke to on the day, I was too busy spectating half the time/ being ever so slightly hungover to chat for long.
Gutted to hear about the water pump Dean, hope it is sorted asap!
Great TVR results by all, despite being dry in the morning it was still a long way from being hot/ grippy! As some of you are aware, there was meant to be another TVR entrant, who instead had to bring his 'other, slow toy' a 650bhp 996GT2 - He will be back next year with his road legal race tuscan again and the new engine, a figure of 1000bhp was mentioned, yes, one thousand!!!
Only 360ish days till next time...
