Hi if your in the lincs area can you keep an eye out for a blue chim with very shiney new looking wheels an the reg TVR 221 S.

If you see it, or a similar plate can you let me know when and where....

It was seen pulling out of john darkes garage in louth on Saturday.

The reason I ask is that, it's the registration of my chim which is actually spread across 4 garages being rebuilt at the moment. yikes Midcheck and dvla shows that at least nobody has tried to tax or insure it

hopefully nothing for you and just a very similer plate, it would be pretty stupid really to clone a car thats currently untaxed and un insured as thats the whole point of cloning a car so you dont attract attention I would have thought

I've noticed that the reg on my S3 is one of a block of TVR registrations, like buying a strip of raffle tickets. Maybe, this other blue Chim was built and registered at the same time and is 1 digit different from yours. I think this is the most probable answer as it would be crazy to go to the effort/risk of cloning and take the reg of a sorn car (as previously posted).

Good theory, but the reg above was issued in the late 70's so is obviously a private plate and doesn't relate to when his Chim was first registered

I just checked DVLA and it says it's taxed until 01/05/2012, it's a 1996 model and grey. If this is your car you should get the tax back while it's being re-built.
