York anybody?

I should be making my long awaited return to 1/4 mile action at York on the 28th/29th this month. Maybe even wuith Megasquirt mapped ready.

Its probably the best weekend at York as far as variety in classes and entertainment.

Anybody fancy coming along?
Why not sign on to RWYB and have some proper fun.

Whats the event? I'm in Harrogate for a 'do' on Sat night so could pop along on Sunday to blast out the hangover. Though thats on the run over, I'm not planning on running the Griff when I get there.

Yes Sunday and monday. The Finals.
Lots of classes and lots of action. There will be 8 second cars racing.

In RWYB York make things a little more interesting in that you queue up in classes so you get to race cars similar to your own.

Its not set in stone tho.
If the 2 cars are together when coming out of the pits, a quick word to a marshall and he will sort it.
Everyones very down to earth and accomodating at York.

I will also be having a race with Nick.... promise no gas.

I'm hoping to drive over at some stage Derek.....depends on the weather. Not sure if I will drag it this time or just watch.

I can't beleive all the problems you have had with your motor....will it be ready, able and willing to drag?

I will take 1 step at a time.
It should be mapped ang good to go but there are fresh bearings to consider.
I will drive it 'normally' to York and do an oil change there.
On track i will take it easy(ish) with a modest rev limit. I am more interested in trying out the suspension set up and finding grip than breaking any 1/4 mile records just yet. But then again.....

Weather and work depending (I'm a few deals off target), I might well have a drive down Derek if I have the Cerbera back by then. Can't make any promises though unfortunately.
