Off the cuff tyre question
Discussion
I can tell you that a 22 year old, unused wedge spacesaver was red hot after a ten mile, 40 mph 'get me off the M5' trip.
Depends how old and how they've been kept. Side wall cracks, possibly poor handling in the wet, and getting hot quite quickly are signs to look out for.
Have a crack with a 10 mile run on a Sunday morning and see how you go. If in doubt, bin 'em.
