New carpets needed for my Tamora DIY fit or not guys?
Discussion
it really depends how fussy you are about your car.
I re-carpeted my S2. Basically bought a load of underlay and off cut from my local carpet right and about10 cans of spray adhesive. By doing it this way I made the car a lot quieter in the cabin. It was a bit of a PITA at times but generally not that bad considering I had never done anything like this before.
I would describe the finish as presentable but by no means perfect - most places it is fine but where the carpets meet the door seals I struggled with the thicker carpet. I bought some burgundy leather trim and hand stitched it (very hard work) in the few areas that really needed it.
