Spider conversion - can't quite get it right......
Discussion
Recently changed Imolas to 16" spiders all round on my Chimaera. Whilst I was about it I upgraded to AP Racing calipers and 300mm discs up front. The car stops like never before and it looks absolutely amazing.
I heard on here but I can't remember exactly where from that the front spiders have the same offset as the front Imolas and the rear spiders have the same offset as the rear Imolas. Since the conversion the first thing that was apparent was that the front wheels were sitting well in from the edge of the arch. This is almost certainly due to the bell being narrower than the original one piece disc but I just wanted to see if the offsets were right and whether it is just the bell width.
I've now added longer studs and added a 15mm spacer on each side but still not sure it's quite enough as the car is still quite eager to turn in and a little twitchy up front.
Also, probably should go for hubcentric spacer to bridge the gap between the hub bore and the alloy although currently do have a spigot ring....
Anyone know the hub bore size or have any experience like this when doing their conversions?
Thank you!

I would always shy away from using any form of spacer on a performance car.
You will also have increased the Roll centre height of your car in carrying out the conversion, unless you are confident that your choice of tyre has mitigated this!
If you use any kind of spacer then in my view it needs to be a properly fitting hub centric spacer. 30mm is a camels march in terms of performance car spacing!! it sounds like you are building many perfomance upsetting mods into the car for tha sake of achieving a slightly different look?
