Is baby blue a bit gay or awesome for a tuscan?
Discussion
I'm seriously considering having the tuscan resprayed this winter and have truly struggled to see any colours i really like.
I think that on the whole lighter colours are the best on tuscans, mine is currently samoa blue which is an old bmw colour, i reckon a previous owner had it painted this colour as its definately been painted and is the only one i've seen. It looks really good but then i stumbled across this ferrari

i think it would really suit the tuscan, mine already has satin black wheels and badges and s splitter.
However something tugging at me is that my girlfriend had a baby blue beetle with black wheels, badges etc and while it looked awesome for what it was it was ultimately a girls car
Opinions?

I have a black Tuscan with anthracite wheels so you can guess where my colour preference lies!!
The Tuscan is a farly 'pretty' car so you have to be careful you dont push it over the edge!!
Having said that, that blue with some satin black wheels would look pretty good i think.
Only colour that doesnt really do it for me on a Tuscan is Silverm but then im not really a silver car fan in general!

I just had a similar dilemma with my Cerb. Originally I was going to go with a much stronger colour, but after I saw as Aston V12 RS in Mako Blue I was sold...
I think it really needs black wheels now, but that should be sorted soon. The paint has some sort of new effect in it which really changes how blue it appears depending on the light. It goes from a sort of very light blue / silver to a much warmer baby blue. Not everyone's cup of tea I guess, but I love it.

I see why some may say its bland but i think the tuscan shape is so lairy that its ok. I think possibly the nicest tuscan colour i have seen is recession white with black wheels etc. I also think silver looks great too as its so plain.
Some (not all) of the darker colours while stunning in their own right hide the shape imo, that said i have heard some say light colours hide it.
Currently i'm not sure what to do, i'm not sure i can stomach the best part of 3k for a respray which while being nice maybe isn't essential and i would also be terrified of stone chips perhaps. My paint though is quite tired, it looks perfect from a few feet but theres quite a few marks here and there along with stone chips aplenty.
Heres mine now, i really like the colour tbh, looks great in the sun but if i was to get it sprayed i would change it i think.

That looks awesome jim!
BTW in my pic of the rear of the car you see the bootlid sits a bit pissed, i have tried to adjust it but with no luck, i hope i'm just doing it wrong but does that look like something which could be sorted? Its as if the holes are slightly out of line on the right side tbh.

Thanks, glad I'm not the only one who likes it!BTW in my pic of the rear of the car you see the bootlid sits a bit pissed, i have tried to adjust it but with no luck, i hope i'm just doing it wrong but does that look like something which could be sorted? I'm afraid I'm not sufficiently familiar with the Tuscan to know whether your boot gap is adjustable. Having seen the variation in panel fit on my Cerb I'm not surprised that your's is less than perfect. Having said that, if you do choose to respray it you should be able to sort just about anything.
Whilst it wouldn't normally be a colour of choice, I think it would probably suit the Tuscan - the pale blue metallics look good. On a Fiat 500 it might look a bit 'girly', but even then it still suits the car, IMHO.
Pink seats in the Tuscan might be pushing it a bit though, if you were thinking of that

How are you adjusting the bootlid, they are prone to sticking up?
I have just tried undoing the bolts which hold the brackets and then tried moving them about, sadly i could only make it sit higher and not lower though, the thing is when you look at it it looks clear what has to be done but i just can't do it.m3jappa said:

If that blue was good enough for the underside of a Spitfire then I think it'll be just right on a T car.
