In car video kit.
Discussion
Hi All, not sure if this is the right forum to post on but, after having my lovely assistant in the passenger seat at TAG11, trying to hold our video camera still, and in roughly the right direction on the parade laps and hill climb, we may need a rethink. we also saw some amazing suction held apparatus in other cars , so can anyone give any info on a decent all round in-car windscreen suction fixed audio/video set up, manufacturer etc that they have had experience with and would offer recomendation.
The video we have of tag11 is excellent as my wife couldnt stop giggling/squeeling, and bless her her hands got tired , (excellent you tube footage) but, the pics taken by the proffesionals all have her face full of video camera .
Thanks in anticipation.

I bought a stickypod years ago though and find it alright.

I got mine from here http://www.cameragrip.co.uk/acatalog/Camcorder_Suc... first one on the list, could be seen in the screen of my Tuscan throughout the TAG11 weekend.
on a different note, I bouht one of these from guillotine on here, a very nice quality set up, small camera, ideal for trackday use, well pleased with it, no more wobbly hand held vids

I adapted my satnav bracket.
Would have worked fine if I'd remembered to press the 'video' button on the damned camera !
Equally important I'd have thought is the quality and location of the mike...considering the awful sound on so many vids...nearly as bad as stupid music ruining the whole thing (pet hate

A mate of mine has a Dog Cam setup which he's very pleased with & I'll probably end up getting myself.

Some rather handy setups & some with remote control.
