Are the back ends the same or just similar, i.e same moulds. Also the front end looks similar in places too, especially the indicator bits which i read where made by Peter Wheelers gundog.... (sure i read it in the Heath bible)

None of the body parts are the same. Completely different dimensions in every respect.

Yes. Apart they do look similar, but parked next to each other they are actually very different. Rear end of a Cerb is much more rounded - and not as nice as the Chimaera IMHO.
Front is more difficult to tell apart, but the bonnet is actually very different too, so no shared parts.
