Right end of the month the company BMW 5 series goes back, the question is what do I replace it with?
Since picking up the Tuscan I find it hard not to think about taking it everywhere, everything else feels so dull.
Options are
Run the Tuscan on a day to day basis, catch the train more. Use the cash to fund a 4.3 conversion at rebuild time
Maserati 3200/4300/gransport (Keep Tuscan for the weekend)
Range Rover Sport(Keep Tuscan for the weekend)
Cerbera(Keep Tuscan for the weekend)
Couple of things to keep in mind, I have 5 kids and occasional need to pick some of them up and drop them off (Have a Grand Voyager as well for the wife), so 4 seats min would be good. I live in the sticks and 4wd is essential for 2 weeks of the year, but in the past I just walk to the shops. I don't mind twirling the spanners, and only really feel confident when I work on the car myself.
The BMW will have lost 20k in 2 years (lots of miles that I no longer do) in depreciation, and I don't want to go down that road with my hard earned.
Any suggestions or am I going mad and should buy a Mondeo?

Had one of those, have to admit it was one of my best cars. Couldn't stand to get rid of it, kept it until it had done 150k+ miles. Sold it for a E65 730d, which was another fantastic car and kept that till it had done 120k.

Unfortunately, they're knocking on a bit now. 
I had a minter until a few weeks ago - c. 45k miles, 10 years old pristine on the outside. TCS/ABS packed up then auto box - better part of the car's value to rectify. Couldn't justify it on a ten year old motor. Bye-bye Bimmer.

I wouldn't normally talk people out of a Cerb but space may be an issue. Not sure how old your kids are but it ain't a car to happily take more than four - and the two in the back need to be small!
Its not a car to happily take more than 3 I think you mean (you'd not be able to fit 5 in)? The person behind the passenger needs to be under 10 yrs old or as small as child (in my experience) and the person behind the driver needs either to be behind a short legged driver or needs to be under 6 yrs old (in my experience). If the driver is so tall that they cant get the seat forward to give a bit of legroom then you might only get a toddler behind the driver. Gazzab said:

I'm 6'2" and the kids are 10,9,6,5,1The people carrier is for ferrying the kids around, it is just for the occasional ' I'm running late' call.

With those ages you should be ok to carry 3 of them for the next 3 or 4 years in a cerb. You will struggle to get all 3 of the eldest in togehter right now though IMHO and I would say that you will definitely not fit the 3 eldest in together within a year or so. The people carrier is for ferrying the kids around, it is just for the occasional ' I'm running late' call.

We have just picked one up a early low mileage super charged one, I am just back a drive from Applecross (scottish stelvio pass) and glad i left the Cerb to take the Mini it is so much fun and plenty quick for tight roads doubt the cerb would have been anywhere near as quick on these roads. Put a "mini grin on my face " like a TVR and the charger whine is great it fills in the gap of V8 rumble and pops and bangs for a while. By far the best out the box car i driven in a very long time pretty good on fuel full weekends hooning 33mpg over 500 miles not bad i thought.
Space wise not too bad inside 4 seats lots of room in the front back seats not too bad think the newer mini R56 IIRC is alot bigger inside but they are turbo charged engines so not sure how they drive
