Tuscan S v T350 v Tamora

I've previously owned a 4.0 Chimaera and am considering a return to the TVR fold.
Having been away from the marque for a good few years I'ma bit out of touch, so could someone briefly describe the differences between the modern TVRs I have listed above please so I may narrow down my search to the model that suits me best?
Many thanks for your help

I had the same dilema 2 1/2 years ago and opted for the T350. Tuscan had the option of the 4.0 engine or even the S spec but I wasn't bowled over by the handling. I was looking at 2004-2005 models at the time.
Tamora handled the best, though this was only marginal compared with the T350. It had the option of the full convertible but I just never gelled with the looks. At the time I was seriously considering either a pearl yellow 05 plate being sold by D/Image or a reflex green 54 plate privately - both awesome cars but IMHO not the prettiest.
The T350 though, especially dead side on is achingly pretty. I originally wanted a coupe, especially as some colours really don't suit the lines of the T but went with a T in the end. Really glad I did as it's a great compromise over the full vert experience I was used to coming from a Chim.

Had more or less the same decision to make 18 months ago albeit just between the Tamora and Tuscan. Agree the Tamora was a sharper drive but got seduced by the Tuscan looks. Haven't regretted it yet and have found the Tuscan amazingly practical- huge boot and rear shelf. It's the usual advice I guess, drive them all and you'll know.

Same here. I ruled out the T350 because even the targa isnt an open top car. The Tuscan gets close to being a full convertible and I felt gave the best of both worlds, it looks fantastic espicially the mk1 and the dash makes it feel special inside too. I was also drawn by the bigger engine, not for any sensible reason, but purely for playing "my willy is bigger than yours" with my Porsche owning mates
On my second Tuscan now.
Moving from a Chimaera to Tuscan.
I wrote off the Tuscan a couple of years later.
Test drove a Tamora which felt great but better half insisted I got another Tuscan.
I wanted to get back to full convertible and so my Misses set about finding one.
I love her as much as my Tuscan convertible.

I looked at all 3. The Tuscan has a big boot which is really helpful, and with the roof off and window out genuinely feels like a convert only with a bit of safety from the roll over hoop. Tamora always looked a bit too much like a toy for me!! T350 is very pretty, I wish they'd made a full convertible as it would have been awesome. T350T's are pretty hard to come buy I think.
I've not owned a Tuscan but on the Tam vs T350c debate I can add:
The Tamora (esp. the Red Rose) goes like stink, but the front spoiler is very low and on the mine the roof leaked. Nothing the dealer could do about it.
The T350c (esp. the Red Rose) goes like stink too. The ground clearance is an inch or two higher, and it stays dry.

The nose can be raised to exactly the same adequate clearance and my roof has never leaked. The Tamora (esp. the Red Rose) goes like stink, but the front spoiler is very low and on the mine the roof leaked. Nothing the dealer could do about it.

I preferred the Tuscan (Esp Mk1) over the Tam (almost bought one new a few years ago), still like the T350 and the Sag, but the Tuscan is the best of all worlds for me. It is a very personal choice, I would suggest you book sometime off and drive them all. Even two models can feel very different, buy with your heart and you'll never look back.
PS Most Mk1's now handle fine (spacers, tyres, suspension, geometry, and bump-steer mods) but they have the 4.0 engine
and they look absolutely stunning

As per lots of the comments above, it's a really personal choice. Although, clearly Madbadger is 100% correct
Shockingly, over the past winter I actually considered swapping the Tamora for something else. Having looked around both at other TVR's and other marques, I really couldn't find anything that I liked as much.
Re grounding out - mine has never had this problem, even on runs out with the TVRCC when others were really suffering. Some Tams ride a bit too low I think but that can easily be rectified.
Oh, and mines never leaked either
Try and drive examples of them all. They're all slightly different and to be honest, I personally think they're all brilliant. You'll probably just find ones slightly more brilliant for you that the others.

Did I say your roof leaked? No.
Did I say mine did?
Yes.
Message being: If you are thinking of buying a Tamora, etc.
Strewth.....No need to get defensive - on here of all places.
These threads are always the same. Everyone has loads of good reasons for choosing their favourite car from a given list of near identical TVRs.
They are all great cars and any one of them is an excellent choice. My point was that they are so individual it is impossible to subjectively recommend one over another.
The OP must get out and do some test driving. Whatever he decides will become the right choice.

It's like Coke - v - Pepsi.
