Locking wheel nuts?

Any recommendations for a set for my Chimaera?
I run SP12s if it makes any difference.

From what I can see they are about the best you can get at a fair price. Got them on the AMIL as they are exposed nuts which yours will be too. I'm sure Halfwits have some at about £20 but its a no brainer for me. I can't recall the number though - something like 24157 I think.

Worth going for the Ultra versions, with spinning collars, if getting McGards. They´re only about a tenner more but get much better results in tests.

I bought some of the more expensive ones from eBay. But they do NOT tighten up enough on my chimaera. Tried it on original IMO as and race lines. Just as they reach biting point they start spinning . It's like they run out of thread. Pm me for the make if you are interested

A common problem with locking wheel nuts. You need to know the correct thread size, collar type and thread depth.

i thought i did. they were advertised as being specific to TVR Chimaera original spec NOT after market wheels, which is what i had. the guy did refund my money but he was put out and suggested i was wrong!

Just to add a bit of paranoia, when I have bought anything from the popular auction site that involves locks and keys I always get a friend to bid, and have it delivered to them, that way if the source is untrustworthy they won't have your address, possibly a copy of the key, and know they would have access (in this case) to your wheels.

Maybe I should get out more......

Good idea. I always have my stuff delivered to work where any one with the wrong idea would get a warm welcome :-)
