LucyP just likes to wind people up with her posts it's almost always negative and designed to elicit a strong response but then that's really what forums are about, it's just an opinion. This was her comment on someone's "fake" wheels. She, he doesn't sit on the fence![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)

The look horrid. So dated. They make a TVR look like the MG RV8. They look even worse on a Chimaera.
So is this forum North Korea now? ![rofl](/inc/images/rofl.gif)

What do you think of my wheels? Oh wow, Dear Leader, Mr Kim-Jong Un Sir, they look so amazing (expected answer).
Well Kimmy, they look a bit sh.. and they don't really suit the car (30 years in a Gulag)
If you don't want an opinion, then don't post your wheels on here. Your wheels, your car, your choice, but if you do post, seeking an opinion, then until the UK turns into the DPRK, then expect that there is not just one approved, expected by the state, answer.
Or is it Mr Orwell where only approved "Group-think" is permitted?

Lucy- if your mum had a new haircut and asked for your opinion, would you be so blunt?
Anyone who behaves differently from real life on a forum with the protection of an anonymity could justifiably be described as a keyboard warrior.

I like it QBee - same(ish) colour as my Tuscan. Bet yours drives lovely. Bottom pic wheels are my favourites, but I wouldn’t be sad about either set on my car.
Thank you - the bottom ones are SP12s, quite often used on Chimaeras where bigger wheels are required.I had a fun race around Cadwell Park on the TVRCC track day with a Tuscan - they do go rather well.
It put big smiles on both our faces.

There are times when an honest opinion is called for - someone's wheel choice for example, and sometimes when a little white lie is called for - someone's haircut etc. who you don't know that well, even though behind their back, everyone is OMG, have you seen it!If you can't tell your best friend and she cannot tell you that her/your haircut doesn't suit, then there is not much hope left.
The whole world is full of people who are frightened to say anything, for fear of offending someone, except for Mr. JCR Clarkson and myself.

A colour that really suits a Tuscan. But not a Chimaera.

"Mum you've had your haircut, it makes you look older just like an MG RV8" An opinion is absolutely fine and we def need to have differing views but there is a way of delivering - there is no need to piss and sLucy- if your mum had a new haircut and asked for your opinion, would you be so blunt?

I hope she goes to N Korea for her holiday
Some sensitive souls on here. I like Lucy’s posts. I find them informative, thought provoking, amusing etc. I haven’t ever taken offence but then again I’m not posting a pic of cr@p wheels on my car and asking for opinions (and getting upset when the opinions aren’t all positive).
If my mum had a cr@p haircut i would tell her I preferred it longer or whatever.

Sensible chap.
I enjoy reading Lucy's posts. We don't all have to agree all the time. Apart from when I agree with my wife all the time, (inside my head there is another opinion but that's a different story).
I didn't like the wheels either but that's my opinion. I have never bought a set of brand-new wheels and given the choice out there I would probably struggle to choose one design over another. Each to ones own.
Changing the subject, I'm doing a track day at Castle Combe on Monday. I've done quite a few track days this year and the only track day where I have seen TVR's is at the TVRCC organised track day at Cadwell Park. There hasn't been one hint of a TVR at any other track day. Generally you would see the odd one or two but they all seem to be staying at home now.
Judging by the few that are ever seen on the road, as TVR's are becoming older and somewhat rarer, do you think cars are generally spending more time in the garage? It must certainly take the publix eye off the brand as we know quite often people ask what they are when they are occasionally glimpsed on the road.

There do seem to be fewer out and about but maybe Covid didn't help. When the parcel deliveries or parts people come to my house we usually get talking about cars. Very few even know that TVR is trying to produce a new car, they mostly think TVR died a long time ago. This is what happens when you don't have someone like Max Clifford as your PR bloke. Did you really mean to suggest that example ?
His final PR gig, was conducted behind bars.
Possibly not a helpful associaton for TVR.
