Smax key re-program

Anyone know how to re-program an Smax key ? I have searched the internet but can only find other ford instructions. It's just the door lock/unlock part that dosent work, the imobiliser works fine.

is it a ford maindealer ripoff job ?

I have sorted it ;-) Both keys now working.

It's the same procedure as the focus but instead of the PATS light the alarm makes a sound :-

turn key from position 0 - ii four times and back to 0, alarm goes "boing",
press unlock on key one alarm goes "boing", repeat for other keys,
turn key to 0 to ii and 0 again.
keys should now work ;-)

hi. i have the push button start SMAX. Once I changed the battery in the key I was unable to re program/re code it. The manual states the procedure above, however I don't have a convential ignition to insert the key into.

any ideas how to resolve, Ford say 30 min appointment on computer for £50

Just a note for anyone following these instructions, the 4x on/off of the ignition must be done in 3 seconds otherwise it won’t work.
