hi guys!

I've been trying to get hold of a picture of a st220 engine bay..

just realised that the Ford webpage isnt particularly helpful in terms of pictures and my local dealer didnt have one on display!

was wondering whether if any phers with a digi camera handy could help me snap a picture of his/her engine bay?

oh yeah and one more thing.. i forgot to ask when i was at the ford dealer.. if the st220 had the option for an auto box available? Does anybody know?

thanks alot!

Hmmmmm, thats not an ST220 dennis

i'll promise not to tell them on meg

thats the only pic of the engine i can find, i'll see what else i can come across though.

to get the 5tronic auto box with a V6 you need to drop down to the 2.5v6 or go tdci, st220 is 6 speed manual only now......(some early ones had the 5 speed box)

I'm shocked and offended

New focus is a beauty, the planned ST diesel should be fun

without getting my lappy out and checking things, the focus sport is 115 Ps and the planned st is around 150ps.

I say planned, even though press have talked about it and people have seen spy shots and been told things by FMC, i've got to the stage when I believe it when i drive it

the 136 is the HDI lump so getting 150 shouldnt be hard . the current tdci will show the golf a clean pair of heels down a B road with no probs , but it would be nice if ford could do some silly output diesels , getting annoyed with the mondy 115ps just aint enough to haul it about . Its gutless low down , driven the 130ps though and its brilliant

bit lost on the 136 bit m8.......wanna elighten me?

The only duratoq with that sort of power has just gone on sale in V184 (rwd) Transit, which is 137Ps to be marketed as 135ps for some reason.

130ps mondeo does go well though, torque steer gets a bit much after a while though

Possibly, i've never come up close to it in a PUG.

C max is a very different car to current focii, you caught me out

all we get told is that is a development of the 1.4 8v diesel fitted to new fiesta, with some mods to the block and a new 16v head being the main changes.

Belt and chain driven though as opposed to the belt used on the 1.4

latest common rail systems are starting to shine now, with variable injection, the fuel needed to power one cylinder stroke can be injected in up to 6 steps in order to reduce noise and increase power.

nice car the C-max , and the dealer said the 136ps jobbie pulls like a train , had a sniff poke and a prod round one a few weeks back , shame about the crap door panels , rock hard plastic top to bottom with a soft bit for your elbow , put me off a bit

If you were put off by the door panels, wait until you try and install aftermarket Sat Nav on one

On some variants getting a speed signal requires a new Central junction box

proper pain in the ass

Never let one of these babies overheat. Replacing the headgaskets is a 15 hour job.
