I have a Pinto engined kit car and would llike some advise on what typical running temperature is correct for this engine.

My temperature gauge seems to level out at around 80/85deg, the engines runs and sounds fine but I would like reassurance that this is not too high ?

I have searched the web but have failed to find anything on this.

Thanks !

I got a couple of replies in Kit Cars forum, it seems my car's temp is OK, I will have a look at that site though.

Cheers

Buy a Haynes manual, or borrow from the library.
Ford Cortina, Capri, Sierra, Granada.
All the answers are in there.
