I think you are looking in the region of £800, but Mountune HQ do the Rs setup for around £700 i think, worth giving them a call.

There is company like pumaspeed, jamsport etc that will be doing them cheaper then ford im sure.

Just found that Kernahns of witney who have a good rep on the Focus oc do them.

I am waiting for an RS clutch for my ST . Cheapest is possibly Mountune, although £650 if you have had the 260 conversion. As said I believe if you have an aftermarket conversion, then is a bit more.

Is an RS clutch any different to an ST clutch?

Yes, the RS clutch has a stronger diaphragm and the flywheel has a higher torque level, ideal for the tweaked ST's. The pedal will be firmer with the new clutch.

I very recently had a quote from Kernahans in Witney of £925 fully fitted for the full Focus RS clutch.

On the link it says £899, worth seeing if they will do it for that price.

The RS clutch exerts about 40% greater clamping pressure than the standard ST clutch.

There is a more robust clutch kit available for the RS and STs which is the Volvo replacement kit for their now defunct S60R and V70R models, part number 30783258. It has a similar clamping force to the standard RS kit, but has a sprung disc which is usefull if you fit one of my lightened single mass flywheels.

Regards, Don.

How much would one of these clutch kits cost fully fitted?

Would be very interested in knowing if there are issues with fitting the Volvo clutch kit as it's £2-300 cheaper than the RS.

Also interested in this, whilst I don't need a clutch currently, could be handy to know for the future.

Its the Luk brand clutch that you want rather than the Ford boxed one. Its the same part just in a different box and a cheaper price.

Matt Lewis motorsport were doing the clutch kits fairly cheap recently. Remember you need the RS fly wheel too, they look identical but they’re not.
