Opinions?

Personally I think they've got it spot on, though it all depends on the price really. The Puma Racing was a great pocket rocket but the price tag was a joke...

Well they've clearly been visiting the 'preposterous' section of the local wheel arches shop. Looks like a nice little fun car apart from that - let's just hope they test it on actual roads before releasing this one though.

I think that looks great, least they haven't gone too crazy on the interior, like they did on the focus RS

Any idea what engine there thinking of dropping in?

2.0 Naturally aspirated supposedly (Autocar this week) variable valve timing, 180-200bhp. Should do the trick!

Paul.

It'll be using the current Duratec He engine from the Mondeo range for both the ST and the RS variants.

The He lump has been pretty reliable so far, which is to be expected from a Mazda engine

180 ponies in a small car with a great chassis will be a blast

Only a lentlist won't see a fun side to it

I think it looks like a corker, although as rightly said above it depends on price.

I would spend £12k but no more.....if its too close to £15k it will be far too overpriced IMO.

looks good IMO could do with a turbo though!

i wonder if you'll get the option for the bonnet vent and roof scoop like the silver racer

There was some mention of a turbo being reserved for a Cosworth version...

I think a nice revvy (7500rpm would be good) naturally asprirated engine would suit the RS down to the ground. It shouldn't need the torque offered by a turbo lump, as it won't weigh too much, and should add to the cars quick reactions overall.
