Before I begin taking my Focus apartlaugh
Both front windows have ceased to work. Fuses fine, I suspect o/s door double switch, as it has had a soaking, but before I delve into it has anyone else had this & is it a common problem?
Cheers all, Al.

I dont think its a common fault and would lean towards the door switches but will check and report back if there is anything else to think about.

Did they both stop working at the same time?Is there any noises when pressing the switches?

Friend of mine had one window die in an internally complicated manner - cost more than one would have hoped to get it fixed.

The fact that both of them are non-functional would suggest something electrical - so might well be as simple as a switch as a fuse. We can hope anyway wink

Cheers allthumbup Yes they did both die at the same time, there is no relay noise & no attempt at either motor working.
As you've probably seen from my profile I'm body/paint & emphatically NOT electricsbiggrin, the switches recieved a soaking last Monday due to windscreen washers (& the wonderfull Ford design enabling it to drip directly onto the switches with the window open), the following day they both failed. (I have a bargain basement diseasel estate with man windows in the rear - so obviously no prob there!).
Thanks again & I'll let you know how I get on.
Al.

Something for all you Focus owners to be aware of - DO NOT trust your owners' manual description of fuse board numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2hrs of going around in circles trying to work out why there was no power getting to the switchesfurious
