hi im new to this sight today and i have a few questions

I have a ford escort gti mk6 question 1 is

im after fitting the mk5 rs2000 rear axel so ill have disc now my gti has abs and the mk5 does not have abs

the person im getting the axel of said i do not need to connect the rear abs sencer up

he also said that the light on the dash for the abs will not come on if i dont connect the sencer to the rear

but i cant see this bean true has anyone fitted this axel and did you have any trubel with the abs pleses let me no

I did have problem on my Cossy with the rear sensor's being cracked due to just general wear & tear and water was getting inside the sensor, which kept the light on all the time changed the sensor's and it went out straight away.

I would of thought if you disconnect them completely you will probably get the same problem.

i have bin told of a lot of people they have used this mk5 rs2000 axel but no 1 has said anything about the abs

and i would rither it be right and no what to do before i do this mods thanx for reply hope ill get more info thanx ste
