Can individual parking sensors be unplugged?

I've just put a towbar on the old Galaxy and its close enough to one of the parking sensors to set it off constantly. Can I unplug this sensor and leave the others to work?

I'm sure i've seen a TSB for this where the parking sensors can have a different program for this very reason...........

Actually, the guy who fitted it also sorted me out! He just bent the plate holding the plugs back so the "beam" misses it and hey presto! My parking sensors are working again!
