Focus central locking probs

Hi all,

I have got a 2001 focus 1.8 zetec and the central locking has started to play up. It is usually first thing in the morning and when opened with the key only the drivers door opens. For some reason it seems to cure itself later in the day! Any ideas?
Also my remote key fob stopped working so i changed the battery but still no joy. I have followed the re-programming instructions in the handbook and it beeps when it says it should but it still wont open/close the doors. Any ideas/help much appreciated
