not that quick ... I would guess too that these days, finding one that hasnt been raced / tuned / knackered is quite rare.
Ive always liked them...

Go to http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk and have a look on the RS Fiesta section on the forum or ask there - should get the info you require biggrin

Good choice of car. Ive had my 1992 K Fiesta RS for 8years now and its brought me nothing but joy. True its only a weekend car but even still.

What you need to be looking out for is rust & accident damage. main areas of rust are:

Fuel cap
corners where rear bumper fit to wheel arches
boot floors
rear lights
tailgate
scuttle panel
leading edge of roof & sunroof channel
front panel
footwells front & rear

Check date stamps on panels and also usual accident damage clues.

Most people dismiss the Fiesta and call it slow, however it is a much more refined drive in standard form than a Escort turbo having a the much better EFi system. Power can easily be taken to the 200bhp mark which is enough to wipe the smirk off many of todays overweight hot hatches.

lil pick of mine.

Hi Burt, got your email mate.

What you will pay, really depends on the real condition of the car, there are some nice tidy and useable examples from £2000 upwards however there are also some very bad cars at this price. People tend to hold onto good ones which as u probably know are very rare now.
The silver RS Turbo is a very colour, only 50 were made in this colour and can be sought after depending on condition. The more modified they are externally, the lower the price, so I tend to stay away from cars wearing lexus lights and chrome wheels.

check out fiestaturbo.com
lots of cars for sale on there aswell as the RSOC.
