Can anyone offer any guidance in the removal of an ST220 rear bumper? I've removed all the screws but it still seems VERY tight on the sides near the rear lights/wheel arch??? Which way does it come off and how??!! Cheers

I'm sure there's a screw or a couple of nuts just inside the wheel arches and theres one buy the rear lights where the boot hatch comes down. Also have you removed the screws from the part underneath the car? - The bottom of the bumper attaches to the underside of the car in the centre.

Hello m8-i've removed a bolt headed screw and a normal philips style screw from the wheel arch liners(TIS shows three screws but mine only has two). I've removed two torx bolts inside the boot and i've removed all the screws on the bottom of the bumper that attach to a black piece of plastic that is bolted to the spare wheel housing. The bumper is still on rock solid!! The bit i don't know about is how the bumper unattches from these brackets :-

Any ideas?? I dont which way i should be pulling/pushing/bending??!!!

Hi Dave,

I've just been out to look at mine and tbh, i don't know. I've got an ST rear on an ZS model, and i don't remember the white pieces. I know this may sound silly but is the bumper sat over the top of the white pieces? I'm sure the rest of the wheel arch didn't have to be removed, but maybe that could be the only way to get to the back of the white piece??

How come you're taking it off?

ST220's have issues with dropping rear bumpers, Ford used to fit some foam blocks called braces(early cars never had an issue), i have them in my hand but i'm damned if i can get the bumper off!! Never simple is it?!

wink Got it off in the end, easier if you remove the arch liner clips and slide the arch liner out of the way, it then reveals one philips screw!!
