Car: 06 Mondeo ST TDCI 11k
Problem: Occasionally the ESP light comes on the dash, the the switch does not display "OFF"
When this happens the Odometer display changes from it's mileage & trip read out to dashes and back every few seconds and the Rev counter & Speedo drop to Zero and back up again every few seconds.
There is no pattern to driving style/conditions when it can happen, it just happens.
No loss of power and when I stop and restart the light goes out and all is back to normal, likewise pressing the ESP switch when this happens does nothing the "OFF" light never comes on.
Is this a common fault ?

I can't remember hearing of that fault before which could be caused by a number of things,i reccomend popping into your local dealer for a check as its under warranty.
