Can anybody tell me the main differences between LX, Zetec, and Ghia and also the difference between 115ps and 130ps. I am looking to buy a tdci estate for under £4000 and would like as good a spec as possible

LX and Zetec are fairly similar spec wise, although the Zetec is probably a bit nicer and has a tiny bit more kit. The Ghia is the most luxurious of the 3 specs but you may want to check you like the "wood" in the interior, as its not to all tastes.

Is for 115ps and 130ps, that's just a reference to power and so you'd be better off going for the 130 in my opinion as its reasonably nippy.

Hope that helps

I have the 115ps mondeo hatchback and there is not much difference between that and the 130ps IMO

It would depend alot on how you drive it,if you are rarely going to open it up then the 115 will be fine if you like a bit of go the 130 is better.Based on resale value i would go for a 130 as the 115 is not as popular in the trade.

Horses for courses....I recently went for the 106bhp Megane rather than a 130bhp because whilst it was (marginally) slower, it also had better fuel economy, lower tax, lower insurance...depends what you're after.

Doubt you'll find anything lacking with the LX if you don't mind how it looks (no alloys & black door handles) to be honest. The seats in them feel a tad hard at first but won't give you any back ache & become very comfy once you're used to them.

Ghia X is the one you want- full leather etc etc

Mines a zetec but i just have what's dumped on me!

Great car, couldn't be happier with it.
