Stupid question time. Oil filter on 2.2 ST diesel

Hi,its an element on that model and it goes in the black canister bottom middle front of the engine.

Ahhh that explains why I could not see it I was looking for what I would call a normal one like a white or orange painted thing.

Ok I have found it. I would need a 36 mm socket by the looks of things.

Dont think I'll bother its half way between service intervals was only done 5k miles ago but I have surplus oil all I would need to buy was a filter.

36mm, you're right, and you'll get covered in oil

nah ill let the ford guys do it

1) my largest socket is 34mm hence why I was able to guess
2) it isnt strictly needed.

But at least i now know where it is for the future.
