What is it you are trying to get paint for?
try googling the code number and words eg ford paint code f1.

Alternatively if you go to a car accessory shop they should have colour match charts for each manufacturer/model, you might be able to get a new code from there

done that with not much luck, its a mk3 zephyr paint code bm which is windsor grey. found another no on the anglias site 178-26092 but not sure what this refers to. looks like a trip down the ford garage or paint suppliers is in order. trouble is car is being sprayed in the Czech republic so cannot colour match just need a code to send them.

I have a similar problem as well with my Mk3 Fiesta, when i look at the VIN plate it just says paint code '06'. So i go into halfrauds and try and find the colour blue i want and they have all these really long codes that dont relate to my number whatsoever. Is there something im missing?

Cheers

Thanks a lot Jon, Ford can be quite confusing with that, in the way that they ran the Mk3 Classic model until 97, and finished all the other Mk3s in 95, its weird when you see 2 'P' plate fiestas one being a Mk3 and one a Mk4! Anyway thanks very much

Cheers

Mark

You're certainly not wrong there mate, i presume you work at ford and have access to some sort of top secret MI5 computer database then?
