I was all set to order a brand new ST-2 or 3, wasn't sure for a while on having leather again.

Anyway i digress, i finally bought a late '06 Orange (or is that ASBO-Clarksonrolleyes)3 door ST-3, fully specced. It has done 2600 miles and is unmarked in every way.
I therefore saved approx £4000, all for the sake of it being a few months old and 2.6k. My head won over heart.

I Px'd my '01 Focus 'black' special edition, which was mint and will miss it terribly.cry
I just hope the ST drives as good as it looks.yum

I will mainly be using this car in the summer/dry weather only..hahaharolleyes, what a joke this year. So it's just a 2nd car toy that will be loving polished and used for pleasue only, same as my TVR Chimaera which it was replaced for, dodgy back - long story.
Will miss the Tiv too.cry

I also bought a 2nd hand Mondeo estate 2.0i Ghia in silver which has FSH and electric everything, drives like a dream considering its an 'M' plate and done 96K. Its my work horse, thus saving my ST snug in it's garage.

Sorry realized i am starting to ramble.boxedin

I collect my ST next week, can't wait.biggrin

Oh and i paid for an extra year warranty, so it has just short of 3 years warranty now.

Back to saying "Cant WAIT" I'm all over excited..hehe

Cheers for reading all.

Wayne.

Ps: Back to proper Ford ownership, love Fords.biggrin

It does. The only thing you'll remember about the "Black" is how good the fuel economy was compared to the ST... hehe

You wont be disappointed. I'm not just saying it because I own one either, but the fact that I still have it after 15 months and 28K! miles says everything. Recently test drove 3 different cars as I considered changing for something bigger due to Flasher Junior on the way and all three of them were not a patch on the ST. I decided there is little point selling a car I love so much. Don't lock it in the garage though, use it every day and enjoy it!!

If the rumours of an ST500 are true, I might be tempted.....

When I test drove the ST-3, I couldn't help thinking that the cloth Recaros would be better. The leather ones felt a bit slippery. Other than that, it's a splendid car. The noise on the overrun is just cloud9

The ST is a fine car and i'm sure you'll love it, the dash and handling of the 2004-> focus is a big leap forward against the 1999-> model you had. The cloth recaro's wear well, but the full leather is lovely and you'll not be sorry about having it.

The ST500 is coming too, it's been added to the dealer portal now, smile

Oh yes! I've had my fuel consumption as low as 7mpg although mines running circa 300bhp. However it can be quite economical on a motorway cruise.

Fuel consumption - problem, confused My previous plaything was a 450 Chimaera, now that could give excellent fuel consumption.laugh

Not worried in the slightest, in fact lower the number hopefully the more fun i'm having.biggrin
